Dashboards - Only shows top-level cards

Dashboards only shows the sum of child cards, not all cards. See screenshots where in the all cards are children to the first one. Then we only get the sum and state of the parent card. When all cards are root-level cards, it shows all the data.

This should probably be a setting to show child-cards instead of parent cards.

Dashboards are meant to show a high level view taking into account the aggregation type of the field being displayed. This is to give an accurate representation of the high level overview of the work.

Dovidas Baranauskas Lets say we have a board with only a few top level cards, with many child cards. This would make the Dashboard information very rough, and not giving real information.
This came up when trying out the timesheet data. We wanted to show how many hours are left vs spent on the cards, grouped based on the status of the card (see my second screenshot). But as you can see in the first screenshot it looks like nothing is done.
I really think you should be able to choose if it should only show top-level cards, or if it should use child cards.

Niklas Westman: You can achieve your result by including a filter that would separate tasks from the project or the parent card. Only filtering by status is not enough as mentioned before, dashboards focus on the big picture the parent aggregation when we talk about estimations or any other number value.

Dovidas Baranauskas I can see filtering working for many use cases. It opens up for mistakes but does seem to solve the specific issue.
