Checklist Convert to Card Option to keep List Item

Create Checklist > Create Task > Decide to create a card from task > The task disappears.
My recommendation is to provide a secondary and tertiary question.
Question 1: Create a Card and Delete the task?
Question 1 Notes: If they choose this option then delete the task from the checklist
Question 2: Create a Card and keep the task?
Question 2 Notes: If they choose this option, ask to sync the card with their done column and mark the task in the checklist as done(This could be configured to work with the "Complete Card" option in the card. The workflow would also be able to be used as once the card is marked complete it would update that checkmark.

The functionality to make cards from Checklists is great. Though I would like an option to convert to card, but still have the checklist still in the original card.
Also any way to se status or progress of the checklist that is converted to a card.
This is great for follow-ups in ex. meeting notes. to se last meetings actions ans notes etc.

This would also be extremely useful if those checklist items natively linked to the card created from them - inside the body of the card - and if items created from checklists are created as children to the card they came from.

Also, when checklist is converted to card, the card attaches by default. Not sure how to keep track of "checklist" progress in this case though.

Yes, and please give possibility to maintain a link between the card made from checklist and the parent card.
Our workflow with task planning is that we create tasks as a checklist in the main story card, then, when deemed ready, we convert the list into cards, and manually link them back. It feels unnecessarily cumbersome
