Apply text template after card creation
Stefan Menna
When creating a card in a sheet view (which we often do) a template is automatically applied. That's fine for fields, but we also use different text templates for the cards depending on the task, and it would be extremely time-saving to be able to apply a text template when opening the card and starting to fill out the details.

Easier Card Template Creation

instead of needing to set a card as the board's template (which is a nice feature, don't get rid of it!) please add another feature so that I can simply either add a template from any location I can create a new card, or give the ability to set any card to a template.
Loving the program so far by the way. Having template is a huge plus!

Card Templates - Allow a template to be refreshed on existing cards
Richard Morton
Card templates are great when creating new cards, but it would be great if a card created with a template kept some notion of it, and allowed the template to be refreshed or updated if the template has changed. In my profession we evolve the templates over time as workflows advance and become more streamlined. It would be great to refresh templates on a series of selected cards.

Yes yes yes! I would love to be able to apply a specific card template after creation. Right now as a workaround I have a blank tree of tasks with their “templates” that I just copy and then go through and fill them out after.
Example: I have a board to track all Units being created for our game. Each unit has work from different disciplines and sub-disciplines which each have their own base set of requirements and information that needs to be included. Animation won’t have the same sections or standardized base criteria as Modeling or Concept Art. Also, sometimes I have to create an additional task on top of our base list of work that all units have to have, as this particular unit is special and has other requirements beyond the core list.
I’d love to be able to create a task and apply a specific template for the type of work that is being done for it, instead of having to copy a different task of the same type and change everything that’s wrong and try to drag it to the right place.

Stephanie Krutsick: What about a tag trigger that activates an automation to populate the text/description field with tasks according to the work it needs to be done? Or do you want the information to be added and not overwriting the previous text?

Ability to be able to apply a card template to cards on certain boards is extremely crucial!
