Right now Slack notifications in Favro are all or nothing. Everyone on a board gets pinged for every card, whether they're assigned to it or not.
For small teams that's a minor annoyance. For companies trying to scale, it's a dealbreaker.
Right now we have multiple editors sharing one board, with tasks assigned individually. Everyone gets flooded with notifications for cards that have nothing to do with them. They started ignoring Slack alerts entirely, including the ones that actually matter. And the only workaround is creating a separate board per team member, which defeats the whole point of a shared board (and to assign things to each board we need to create multiple status and automations).
On top of that, Favro's own in-app notifications can be slow to arrive, so Slack is often the more reliable channel people actually depend on.
For teams that already run on Slack for everything, this matters even more. Nobody wants a separate, half-working notification stream inside Favro that you have to check on top of Slack. Notifications scoped to the right person mean one inbox instead of two, less app switching, and less chance of something important getting buried in other notifications.
This isn't a nice to have, it's basic functionality for any tool supporting real team workflows at scale. Other PM tools already handle this. Favro needs to catch up.
