Here's some background. We are using Favro as follows:
* We have cards on the backlog
* When we start working on a card, we add it on the board but leave it on the backlog
* When a card is done, we move it to the "Done" column on the board
All the time, we can see what cards are in a given version, as well as which of them are done and which are not.
We've enabled auto archive in the "Done" column. The problem is that when the card is archived, it is no longer shown in the "Relations" tab of the backlog. This is problematic because from our perspective it looks like the work on the card has not even started yet.
It would be good if we could still see the card in the "Relations" column even if it has been archived on the board. If this causes problems for some use cases, it could be a setting that you can enable per backlog.

Markus Halttunen: Wholeheartedly agree. More attention needs to be given to scenarios where automation over multiple places is happening.
And more to the point, I see a need for the auto-archive function to have an associated checkbox with it saying "Everywhere?" as it is currently only archiving on the board where the rule is.
Why this, you might think? Well, there's a beautiful scenario where you have a lot of planned cards in your backlog and once a card (which has been worked on in a kanban board), is archived in both places, you can select to still show the archived cards in the backlog making for a very nice and visual confirmation of what has been completed and not. Furthermore, all aggregation columns will be recalculated to not include the archived cards which is a very useful and automated thing. Arguably, sometimes you don't want to exclude the properties and values of archived cards, and so the "Show archived cards" would also have to have a checkbox indicating how to count when showing archived cards.
